5 hurt in I-4 crash in Orange County, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Five people have been rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning after a crash on Interstate 4 in Orange County.

Orlando police say a Dodge Charger with five people inside was on I-4 eastbound near the Ivanhoe exit when the vehicle drove off the interstate, hit a tree and flipped.

Two of the passengers were ejected from the vehicle and the car stopped on the I-4 entrance ramp.

Police said two of the passengers suffered life threatening injuries and three of the occupants are in stable condition.

The driver is identified as a 26-year-old male.

The right lane of I-4 eastbound at the Ivanhoe exit was shut down, as well as the exit lane itself. The I-4 eastbound entrance ramp from Ivanhoe Blvd was also shut down.
