According to the Mayo Clinic, earwax blockage can occur when earwax builds up in your ear and is too difficult to wash away.
The Mayo Clinic states it is unknown why some people have earwax blockage, or why it usually occurs in only one ear. If you have a blockage you can see your doctor and he or she can easily remove it.
According to the Mayo Clinic, some symptoms of earwax blockage include: earache, feeling of fullness in the ear, ear noise and decrease hearing.
We have earwax because it helps protect your ear canal by trapping dirt and delaying the growth of bacteria, according to the Mayo Clinic.
