When it was constructed in 1931, the Empire State Building was the tallest building in the World. Today, it's ranks 19th at 1,250 feet tall and and 102 floors.

Three lucky couples have celebrated Valentine's Day weddings at the Empire State Building.

The couples won Thursday's weddings by submitting their love stories to the landmark skyscraper's Facebook page.

First up were John Kelly of Plymouth, Mass. and Kari Morey of Yorktown, Va. They knew each other in elementary school and reconnected after 23 years.

Laurie Ann Phillips and Daniel Rosenthal of Washington, D.C. were single parents who met on a blind date. Instead of buying an engagement ring, they bought a house.

Danielle Brabham and Michael Lynch of Miami Shores, Fla. became engaged during a power outage due to Hurricane Isaac last summer.

The couples posed for photos on the 86th-floor observation deck after their ceremonies.
