1 shot, found on Interstate 4

Orlando police are investigating a shooting victim that was found on Interstate 4 Sunday afternoon.


Orlando police are looking into a shooting where a patient was found on Interstate 4 Sunday afternoon.

Around 3:10 p.m. Sunday, a victim of a shooting was located on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 near John Young Parkway. 

Police shut down several lanes of the interstate to investigate, but do not know if the victim was shot on the road or in another location. 

Police said that an adult male had been shot at an unknown location and was trying to drive himself to a hospital. 

While on the interstate, police said the driver got the attention of an ambulance traveling in the area.  

Police said he was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center and immediately sent to surgery. The man is listed in critical condition.

Due to his condition, police said he has been unable to provide any details to the police at this time.
