SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -

Deputies in Seminole County are looking for suspects who they believe to be responsible for burglarizing 20 cars in the Sweetwater and Wekiva Springs area overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

Cops said the burglars stole valuables such as jewelry, cash and electronics from the unlocked vehicles.

Two of the vehicles also had garage door openers stolen, which were then used to get into victim's homes, according to police reports. In both instances, officers said family dogs alerted the homeowners, causing the suspects to flee.

Police said one surveillance video shows a suspect with a miner's light on his head and a possibly stolen digital camera hanging around his neck jiggling with a car door handle.

One victim, Marcel Neesan, tells Local 6 he accidentally left his car unlocked and the culprits opened his garage door just enough so they could get into the home. Neesan said his dog, Allie, was the first to hear the culprits on Sunday morning and woke Neesan up.

"I wasn't really afraid, I wanted to see what was going on," he said. "I saw an individual standing there with a flash light, so I jumped out of bed and yelled and went into the kitchen- and I saw him disappear with some other individual."
