Rescue crews are treating 24 people who were injured after the pier of a restaurant and bar collapsed, causing them to fall into the water.

NORTH BAY VILLAGE, Fla. -

Rescue crews are treating 24 people who were injured after the pier of a restaurant and bar collapsed, causing them to fall into the water.

The incident happened Thursday night at the Shuckers Bar And Grill, located at 1819 79th Street Causeway in North Bay Village.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they are treating 24 people with injuries. They said 2 people are in critical condition and 15 were taken to the hospital.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Coast Guard. WPLG-TV reports at least 18 rescue units were dispatched, including some rescue trucks and engines.
