ORLANDO, Fla. -

A farewell ceremony kicked off Father's Day weekend for 250 Army Reservists and their families.

These troops will be deployed Monday to Kuwait and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

U.S. Army General Louis Visot was on hand to pump up the troops before heading overseas and remind them to keep their mission on their mind and their families in their hearts during their 9 months abroad.

The general held the farewell ceremony on Saturday to make sure these 250 men and women had time with their families Sunday to celebrate Father's Day.

Soldiers will leave Central Florida early Monday morning.
