21-year-old Apopka man dies after fiery crash on State Road 429

Crash happened at State Road 429/Plant Street area

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A crash on State Road 429 in the area of Plant Street resulted in eight people being taken to the hospital, according to Orange County Fire Rescue. One of those victims later died.

A 46-year-old woman driving a Chevy pickup failed to stop in traffic on State Road 429 hitting the back of a Mazda car and causing a four-car crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol report. Two of the vehicles, including the Mazda and a Dodge Durango, caught on fire, troopers said.

Five people were transported with minor injuries, another for more serious injuries and two for trauma alerts.

Seth Beyrooti, 21, of Apopka, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died Sunday night, according to the crash report.

Troopers said charges against the driver of the Chevy pickup truck are pending.
