Armed robber threatens to kill Deltona clerk

 Volusia County deputies are searching the armed man who robbed a convenience store late Tuesday

DELTONA, Fla. -

Volusia County deputies are searching a gunman who robbed a convenience store late Tuesday.

The robbery happened just before midnight at the Circle K at 819 Deltona Blvd. in Deltona.

Investigators said the gunman walked into the store, pointed a gun at the 19-year-old female clerk's head and demanded money, who was the only person inside the store.  The robber left the store with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.

The store clerk was not injured.

The assailant was described as a man with a Hispanic accent, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and a thin build.  He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a bandana.
