Arrest made in string of College Park burglaries

Orlando police have arrested a man who they believe are responsible for a string of burglaries in College Park, the latest resulting in a family's pet dog being killed.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orlando police have arrested a man on Friday who they believe are responsible for a string of burglaries in College Park, the latest resulting in a family's pet dog being killed.

Leonardo Turull, 22, has been charged with three counts of burglary to a dwelling, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation, according to OPD.

The burglaries that Turull is believed to be involved in occurred last month in the area of King Street and Fairway Lane, police said.

They haven't been charged with the dog's death and Animal Services will investigate.

Another man was arrested during police investigation, but he was charged with resisting arrest without violence.

Turull will be booked into the Orange County Jail.

No other information was immediately available.
