Orange County deputies are investigating why a driver drove completely into a Lee Road restaurant, injuring two people.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -

Orange County deputies are investigating why a driver drove a car through the front entrance of a business Saturday night.

According to deputies, the car slammed into a Chinese restaurant at 930 Lee Road around 8:45 p.m. Saturday evening.

Deputies said at least two people were injured and witnesses inside said one of the people injured was a child.

The driver hit the brakes when his shoelaces got caught around the gas pedal, surging the car forward, deputies said.

According to deputies, the child was hurt and taken the hospital after his leg was run over, but is expected to be okay.
