A 4-year-old Missouri boy was airlifted to Orlando after he was pulled from the pool of the Disney Fantasy cruise ship, officials confirmed.
A spokesperson for the Disney Cruise Line confirmed the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Saturday after someone noticed the child unresponsive in one of the pools.
Port Canaveral rescue units arrived on scene and were able to revive the child on the ship, officials said.
The child was taken to Cape Canaveral Hospital, then transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center for further observation, officials said.
Disney officials said Port Canaveral authorities came on board and did a full investigation of the incident, but no criminal charges will come.
Disney officials said they are doing everything they can to assist the family during this time at the hospital.
The Disney Fantasy set sail at 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
