Three Palm Coast teens told Flagler County deputies they were "Grinching" when they went on a stealing spree, taking holiday lawn ornaments and lights from homes, along with bashing mailboxes.

Zachary Jacobs, Matthew Smith and James Rumph, all 17 years old, have been charged with felony grand theft and criminal mischief in the string of stolen holiday decorations, which were stolen on Sunday.

Deputies said they received two reports of the missing holiday lights on Filbert Lane and Federal Lane and later found the teens stole the decorations from four other homes.

Deputies found two baseball bats in vacant lots and stolen lights and ornaments outside of the home of one of the teens, according to deputies.

Two of the teens were released to their parents; the other was taken to the Division of Youth Services in Daytona Beach.
