SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -

Seminole County deputies are investigating a fire they believe to have been intentionally set in a wooded area Sunday.

Seminole County firefighters were called out to 2411 Church Street in Oviedo after reports of a brush fire came in, officials said.

Upon arrival, firefighters said they found heavy flames and smoke coming from the woods near West Chapman Street and started their attack.

Firefighters said the fire grew to about five acres, but they were able to quickly control the blaze.

Deputies said they believe the fire may have been intentionally set and are investigating reports that people were seen leaving the area.
