ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -

Orange County Sheriff's deputies have released limited information on Monday on the skeletal remains that were found in the 8900 block of Turkey Lake Road behind a shopping center.

Deputies said the victim has been preliminarily identified as a white, middle-aged male. The medical examiner is working to release a full identity, according to the OSCO release.

A passerby called authorities just after 11 a.m. on Sunday after coming across the remains. The remains were found in a wooded area behind the Phillips Village shopping strip.

The shopping center is near the intersection of Turkey Lake Road and Sand Lake Road.
