Driver sought in Orange County street race, crash

ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orange County sheriff's deputies continue to search for a driver who crashed into a truck and toppled a power pole while street racing.

The crash happened Tuesday night on Clarcona Ocoee Road near Powers Drive.

Investigators say the driver of a car crashed into the truck he was racing, lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the power pole, causing an outage to hundreds of customers.

The car driver ran away, leaving behind his mangled vehicle.  Deputies are also looking for the driver of the truck.

Crews worked to restore power.

No other details about the crash have been released.
