Authorities say three family members have been taken to the hospital after a crash in Orange County, with one child in critical condition.

Authorities say one child who was in a crash on Wednesday night in Orange County has died on Thursday.

Authorities said two family members were taken to the hospital after the crash at CR-13, just north of Colonial in the Bithlo area of Orange County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck ran a stop sign and hit the passenger side of a van with a mother and her kids inside, causing her van to roll over a couple times.

A 9-year-old boy was ejected from the van and was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital, where he later died. FHP said his 13-year-old sister and their mother were also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck told authorities he did not see the stop sign at the intersection.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
