DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -

A log flew off of a truck on Interstate 4 in Volusia County, slowing traffic to a crawl on Thursday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the truck was hauling logs when it dropped a log on I-4 west at mile marker 127, near Daytona Beach. Multiple cars then hit the log, according to FHP.

FHP says they believe the log truck left the scene.  The incident had at least one lane blocked off on westbound I-4, which was reopened shortly after.

It's not clear if there are any injuries and how much the other cars were damaged.

No other details have been released.
