Hand grenade found in Orange County deemed not dangerous

ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orange County Fire Rescue says a hand grenade, later deemed to be not dangerous, was found, prompting a hazardous materials situation on Thursday afternoon.

Fire Rescue officials said the hand grenade was found near 5600 Sand Lake Road at around 4:40 p.m.

Orange County bomb squad was called to the scene and set up a perimeter. The scene was cleared just after 5 p.m.
