John Mica elected to US House District 7

John Mica has been elected to U. S. House District 7, according to the Associated Press.

Mica, a 10-term incumbent, beat out Democrat Jason H. Kendall, the the district, which covers Volusia, Seminole and Orange counties.

Mica fought off a strong primary challenge from incumbent Sandy Adams, who was pitted against Mica after redistricting put them both in the same district.

Mica is also the Chairman of the House of Transportation and Infrastructure Committee in the 112th Congress.
