LAKE COUNTY, Fla. -

Lake County authorities have arrested a deputy accused of repeatedly slamming an inmate into a wall.

Authorities said Lake County sheriff's Deputy Glenn Routhier admitted to losing control while on the job and using too much force.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office said Routhier allegedly slammed an inmate into a wall, even hitting his head against a glass window.

The inmate had an injury to his head, along with bruised arms, said deputies.

Routhier faces battery charges.

The Sheriff's Office told Local 6 that Routhier is suspended while the investigation continues.
