Magic says season ticket sales on par with last season

The Orlando Magic plays its first pre-season game in front of home fans against the 76ers, and although there were doubts about attendance this season, the Magic say tickets sales show things are on track.
Joel Glass, spokesman for the Magic, says ticket sales are on par with past seasons. Glass says the team sold 1500 new season tickets this summer, which compares closely to several years ago.
"I'm stoked. I love the Magic. I live for the Magic. I'm really excited," said longtime fan Randy Morrison.
Morrison attended the game Thursday night, and he says he'll give the young team a chance this season.
"I'm really excited to see the young guys and the veterans that stuck around," he said.
Since Dwight Howard's departure some have questioned if the pre-season excitement will carry over through the season's duration.
"For the fans that want to see the stars--people like Dwight Howard--they're going to sit at home. It's not going to be the same," said fan Eric Hooks.
Although he has a few doubts, Hooks thinks loyal fans like him will keep the Magic in business this season.
"As long as you have tourists coming out and loyal fans like myself it's gonna be alright."
