PALM BAY, Fla. -

After an all-night search, police in Palm Bay arrested a man accused of pointing a gun at an officer during a traffic stop.

John Kitchen, 42, was arrested around 6 a.m. Monday after he was stopped Sunday night on suspicion of speeding and running a red light near San Filippo Drive and Wyoming in the city's southeast area.

Around 9:45 p.m., Palm Bay police Cpl. Mike Smith and Officer Tyler Fooks stopped the vehicle, but the driver, later identified as Kitchen, ran toward a wooded area and pointed a gun at them, officials said.  No shots were fired.

He was later arrested but no other details have been released.
