Man charged with injecting silicone into patient's buttocks
A South Florida man accused of injecting silicone into patients' buttocks, faces charges after two former patients ended up in the hospital.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office reports that 44-year-old Calvin Butler, also known as Tamieka Butler, was working out of a room at the El Patio Motel in West Palm Beach.
One woman told deputies in December that Butler charged her $200 each for four visits this past fall. Around the same time, deputies talked to a man who said he had been paying Butler $100 a week for injections from June to October. The Palm Beach Post reports that doctors had to remove part of the man's buttocks.
Butler was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of practicing medicine without a license. He was later freed on $15,000 bail.
