Man with gunshot wound dies after being dropped off at DeLand hospital

DeLAND, Fla. -

A man suffering from a gunshot wound was dropped off at a hospital in DeLand and later died, according to Volusia County deputies.

Antwan Harris, 25, of Deltona, was shot late Tuesday in the 900 block of South Parsons Avenue.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, Harris was taken to Florida Hospital DeLand around 11:15 p.m., and he was pronounced dead about 40 minutes later.

Investigators later located the crime scene on Parsons Avenue and have ruled the death a homicide.

Deputies did not say who dropped Harris off at the hospital.
