ORLANDO, Fla. -

Roads have been reopened in Orange County after deputies investigated reports of a suspicious package at a gas station on Monday afternoon.

Deputies said the report was called in at about 2 p.m. at the BP gas station on 12000 block of East Colonial Drive.

The package was left on top of a gas pump, deputies report. It was later deemed safe and clothing and other personal items were found.

The following roads have been reopened:

  • Colonial Drive from Woodbury Road to Lake Pickett Bonneville 1/4 mile north of East Colonial
  • 408 eastbound is being redirected to Challenger Parkway. There will be no exiting on Colonial.

Several businesses around the BP were also evacuated, deputies said.
