Orlando police officer fired after internal investigation
Orlando police has fired an officer on Friday who was arrested on allegations of beating his girlfriend last year.
Danny Sidders, 43, was jailed Nov. 6, marking the second time that he was arrested on charges of attacking the same woman. The charges were dropped but he was rearrested and facing additional charges for evidence tampering and a weapon's charge.
Sidders was fired after an internal affairs investigation found he violated obedience to laws and standards of conduct.
He spent several weeks in jail and was released on bond on home confinement.
