Palm Bay man sent text threats to estranged wife, police say

Robert Allan Eagle, 42, is accused of sending messages that say he was considering killing the woman and their daughter with a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun.

PALM BAY, Fla. -

A Palm Bay man was arrested Friday for sending what police say are threatening texts to his estranged wife, according to Local 6 news partner Florida Today.

Robert Allan Eagle, 42, is accused of sending messages that said he was considering killing the woman and their daughter with a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun.

“…i might just take us all out the with a 12 gauge shot gun i bought today for fifty bucks im sawing the barrel off 1 foot that would blow somebodys head clean off easy i also got a box of buckshot the most powerful ammo u can get for a 12 gauge im not sure what i want to do yet but its not gonna be good…” (sic)

A Palm Bay officer who responded to the woman’s home witnessed several of Eagle’s messages. Police set up a perimeter around Eagle’s home and arrested him after a brief standoff. He was charged with aggravated stalking.
