Pizza delivery man beaten by 3 women

A Pizza Hut employee was beaten and robbed by three women when he arrived to deliver a pizza in Daytona Beach, police say.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -

A Pizza Hut employee was beaten and robbed by three women when he arrived to deliver a $40 pizza order to a residence in Daytona Beach.

Christopher Gantous, 23, a lance corporal in the U.S. Marines, was uninjured after being struck in the head and face by three women, all of whom he said weighed 120 pounds or less, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department report.

After arriving at the home, Gantous was asked by one of the three women if he had change for a $100 bill, according to police. Gantous said he did not and placed the pizza down, according to the report.

"I turned around to grab the pizza and started to get hit in the back of the head and face," Gantous told Local 6. "They told me to give up my money."

He was then attacked by the women while they yelled at him to give them his money and car keys, police said.

"They didn't even get the pizza, they left it right there on the car," said Gantous. "Someone yelled grab the pizza but they didn't do it."

The women grabbed his keys and stole $16 from from his shorts pockets before they took off running northbound on Vernon Street from Fremont Avenue, according to police, who conducted a search but failed to find the women.

Gantous was not seriously injured.

The first woman was described as black, in her 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 120 pounds, with long dreads and dark clothing. The second woman was black and was wearing an overcoat and jeans.  She was 5 feet 5 inches tall and 120 pounds. The third culprit was described as a black female wearing a long, dark shirt.  She was 5 feet 5 inches tall and 120 pounds.

There were no other witnesses to the incident.
