A man says $400,000 worth of diamonds were stolen out of his vehicle parked outside of an Orlando restaurant, according to police.

Orlando police said they were called to the Sweet Tomatoes on Kirkman Road a few minutes after 8 p.m., where the 47-year-old victim told them the diamonds were taken out of his vehicle.

According to the police report, the victim told police the theft happened in a 10-minute span. Along with the diamonds, the thieves removed a red Swiss Army bag valued at $65 and three blank checks, but they did not take a GPS on the windshield.

Police were unable to determine how the culprits broke into the vehicle, which was completely locked. The front driver side window had been cracked with an unknown tool, but police say it was not enough to enter the car. According to the official report, the damage to the car amounted to about $200.

No other information, including a description of the culprit, was immediately available.
