A Palm Bay man was "viciously" beaten by his co-workers after they teased him about receiving praise from their boss.
The attack happened Wednesday just after 2 a.m. at a home on Americana Boulevard. The victim and his three co-workers are also roommates.
Officers tell Local 6 one of the victim's roommates became angry because the victim had been praised by their boss for his hard work Tuesday night. The victim's other two roommates joined in, picking on the man for getting kudos, police said.
After several minutes, one of the roommates -- 20-year-old Antonio Hernandez -- began repeatedly punching the victim in the face. Another roommate -- 30-year-old Jonathan Hernandez Diaz -- joined in the attack, "viciously" striking the man in the face, head shoulders.
Officers say the third roommate -- 26-year-old Moises Chavez Silva -- began hitting the man in the face, head and shoulders and kicking him in the back.
The man was unable to defend himself and fled to the bathroom. Four hours later he called police.
The man refused medical treatment but suffered cuts on his face and inside his mouth and bruising on his head and shoulders, police said.
Hernandez, Diaz and Silva are each being held in Brevard County Jail on a charge of battery.
