Port Orange police release pictures of truck in drive-by shooting, hate crime
Port Orange police have released surveillance images on Wednesday of the truck they say was involved in a drive-by shooting last month, which police are investigating as a hate crime.
Police have since found surveillance images showing Kanwaljit Singh's vehicle being tracked from International Speedway Boulevard in Daytona Beach to the Dunlawton Avenue bridge, where a person in a truck pulled up and opened fire on Singh and his 13-year-old son.
Singh was shot twice. He son was not injured.
The videos also reveal the description of the suspect’s vehicle is a smaller style truck which appears to be a Chevrolet S-10 or GMC Sonoma style truck, differing from investigator's original belief. The license plate is placed on the right rear bumper and appears to be a single cab truck, dark in color.
