Report: Casey Anthony, mom wear necklaces holding Caylee's ashes

Casey Anthony and her mother have reconciled and made a pact to wear matching necklaces that carry the ashes of Anthony's daughter, Caylee, according to People magazine.
In an advanced e-copy of the People magazine article titled "The Strange Lonely Life of Casey Anthony," a friend of the "most hated woman in America" says Casey and Cindy Anthony never take the necklaces off.
"She told me it was the way the Anthony women should be together: forever," the friend said.
Local 6 spoke to Steve Helling, who wrote the multi-page article in People magazine.
"It depends on your point of view whether that's morbid whether that's sentimental, because of the things we've heard about the Anthony family the last few years certainly it does seem like a morbid thing to do," Helling said.
Last July, Anthony was found not guilty of murder in the death of her 2-year-old, whose remains were found in a wooded area in Orange County in 2008.
The article details Anthony's life on probation, which ends in August, and a friend said Anthony has received hundreds of death threats.
According to People, Anthony, 26, relies on donations from strangers, her legal team and her mother to buy items she needs.
Anthony has told friends that she plans on leaving the country when her probation ends, according to People.
But she also has told a friend that she needs to work on her "brand" and relishes the fact that she's a villain.
"I am one of the most famous people in America. I'm on Saturday Night Live," a friend quoted Anthony as saying.
Helling said there is no question that Anthony believes she is marketable.
"There is still a lot of interest in Casey Anthony for better or for worse," Helling said. "They parody her on 'Saturday Night Live' and so in her mind that makes her a brand. She feels that she'll be able to sell her story for a fat paycheck-I'm hearing eight figures."
In the article, Helling says Anthony spends hours tracking articles and posts about herself online and keeps scrapbooks of Caylee. She lives with a friend in West Palm Beach and has reunited with her mother, the article states.
