LAKE MARY, Fla. -

For the second time this year, a Seminole County family is dealing with sinkholes around their home.

Debbie Coffman and her family were forced to evacuate their home on Lake Como Drive in Lake Mary on Wednesday afternoon when a large sinkhole opened in their back yard.

Coffman told Local 6 that she's hoping the sinkhole does not get any larger. She said it had grown throughout the day and swallowed up an air conditioning unit and septic tank.

"I'd like to see it fixed but it's getting to the point where you don't feel very comfortable anymore," Coffman said.

Crews poured cement into the nearly 30 feet deep and 30 feet wide sinkhole on Thursday. Crews will also grout all around the house to prevent further depressions from opening up, along with underground stilts to dd another layer of protection.

The same ground services company that filled her first sinkhole is filling the second, and they say they can't release the cost of the repairs.

Fire officials said there is no immediate danger for any of the neighbors, but people who live next door are worried that the hole will grow and other sinkholes may form.

This is the second sinkhole at the house; the first opened on the side of the house in August.

"Oh there's been buckling and we've actually been in the house and heard loud banging and walls are cracking in the middle of them," Coffman said. "That was back in August."

Neighbors said they plan to check for cracks in their homes and for any signs that their yards might be developing sinkholes.

The sinkhole has been filled and Coffman says her insurance company is paying for the repairs because she has sinkhole insurance. The company estimates the job could cost a few thousand dollars.
