PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. -

The Canaveral Port Authority Board of Commissioners will hold a workshop from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday to gather public input on development of the port’s Cove entertainment district, Local 6 news partner Florida Today reports.

The meeting will be in the Commission Meeting Room of the Port Authority Administrative Offices at 445 Challenger Road, and will be open to the public.

The Cove is expected to include a seven-story welcome center with exhibits and an observation tower, a concert amphitheater, and expanded retail and dining options.

Wednesday’s workshop will begin with an overview presentation, followed by an hour-long public input workshop and an hour-long commission discussion.

This workshop will be followed by a second workshop on March 14, then a commission presentation and vote on for an updated Cove master plan on March 27.
