Cars can be damaged in a variety of ways, but birds eating them isn't typically one of them.

EVERGLADES, Fla. -

It's been said that vultures will eat anything -- and that includes cars!

Video posted to YouTube shows the birds tearing apart vehicles in the Florida Everglades.

In minutes, the vultures, which migrate to the area every year, are seen ripping rubber from the cars.

Florida wildlife officials are handing out vulture "survival kits," consisting of tarps and bungee cords, so visitors can cover their cars.

Officials said the birds have caused nearly $2,000 damage to cars.
