Boy, 6, airlifted after crash on electric scooter, FHP says

A 6-year-old is in serious condition after troopers say he was involved in a crash while riding a scooter in Brevard County.

Florida Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at Duncan Avenue and Allmont Street in Cocoa on Thursday afternoon.

Troopers said the boy was riding his electric scooter in the street and didn't stop at the stop sign, crashing into the car.

The boy was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
