KISSIMMEE, Fla. -

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a car crashed through a Kissimmee backyard and teetered on the edge of a pool on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred on Lonesome Dove Drive just before 3 p.m. as the driver of a Mazda Miata was turning onto the street from Headdress Drive.

The 19-year-old driver told troopers he thought he was in a different gear, lost control and drove through the screened-in porch, stopping near the pool.

Video from Local 6 news helicopter Sky 6 showed the car partially submerged in the pool and debris from the screened-in pool cage in the pool and throughout the backyard.

No injuries were reported and charges are pending.
