Ocean Potion sunscreen is ready to set sail with the largest cruise operator in the world.
Carnival Cruise Lines announced that they will be teaming up with Cocoa-based Ocean Potion to bring cruisers an on-board promotional experience.
"They approached us and through a couple of meetings we just saw it was a perfect partnership," said Valda Corayat, Vice President of Marketing for Sun and Skin Care Research.
This is the first time Carnival Cruise Lines has joined forces with a sun-care company. The branded partnership will include fun ways to boost skin-care awareness, all while amping up guest's excitement through on-deck sponsored activities.
"So we'll have a gallon jug of Ocean Potion available for the sun lovers to enjoy and while they're doing that they'll be doing sun trivia and a lot of games on-board," Corayat said. "When they're looking to depart the ship at port-of-calls we'll also have samples distributed."
Four Carnival ships will participate in the initial promotion, including two Port Canaveral-based ships -- Sunshine and Liberty. The other two ships are the Breeze from Miami and the Triumph from Galveston.
"This allows us to reach more consumers, as well as, giving our consumers a true branded experience where they get to use the product at the point that they're enjoying themselves the most," added Corayat.
The promotion will kick off on-board the Miami-based Carnival Breeze this Sunday.
