If you were planning on giving up chicken sandwiches for Lent then you're in luck.

Chick-fil-A announced that they will be serving a fish sandwich for the Lent season.

The sandwich, featured in the above photo, is made of cod fish on a toasted buttered bun with two pickles, according to the Chick-fil-A of The Villages Facebook page.

Orlando-area locations serving the fish sandwich:

  • Chick-fil-A at The Villages 730 N US Highway 441 The Villages, FL 32159
  • Chick-fil-A at Southchase Plaza 13085 S Orange Blossom Trl, Orlando, FL 32837

"It is an optional menu item for our restaurants nationwide, and these two restaurants will be offering the fish sandwich locally through April 18," Chick-fil-A representatives told Local 6.

The meal will cost $6.09 and contains 790-990 calories. The sandwich only costs $3.25 and is 400 calories.

Chick-fil-A asks that customers call ahead to see if the location nearest you will be serving the sandwich to avoid confusion.
