ORLANDO, Fla. -

A manatee is recovery from symptoms caused by cold-stress after rescuers found him struggling in a river near Ormond Beach.

Workers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission found the 650-pound manatee on Tuesday swimming in shallow water in the Tomoka River.

The manatee was brought to SeaWorld Orlando to undergo several tests.

Animal experts hope to rehydrate the manatee with regular tube feedings before returning him to his natural environment once he is healthy.
