Cows die in severe weather in north Florida

HOLLISTER, Fla. -

Several homes were damaged and four cows died when severe weather moved through north Florida.

The severe weather Sunday afternoon also forced a delayed in racing at the Daytona 500.

Hollister Fire Chief Robert Davenport told First Coast News that several homes and two barns were damaged when the storm hi this area.  Four cows were also killed.

Downed trees and other debris created some problems in the Hollister area. 

Firefighters were assessing the damage.
