Crew ruptures gas line in downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. -

A construction crew ruptured a gas line Friday in downtown Orlando, prompting the evacuation of a nearby gas station.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. on Church Street near Parramore. 

Officials said a 1-inch line was ruptured.  It was capped about an hour later and the gas station was reopened.

No other details were immediately known.
