Video Voyeur arrested after neighbors recognized him

ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orange County deputies have arrested the man who is accused of taking pictures or recording video under little girls' skirts in a Best Buy store.

James Jones, 44, was arrested on Monday night on charges of video voyeurism of a child under 16 years old.

Deputies said Jones was caught on store surveillance video walking into the Best Buy on South Orange Blossom Trail near the Florida Mall on September 18 and appeared to be placing his cellphone under the skirts of girls under the age of 10.

Security inside the store confronted the man and chased him outside.

Deputies said an anonymous tipster recognized the man in the surveillance video as his neighbor, known as "Jimbo." Several other neighbors contacted authorities identifying Jones.

Jones' mother later told deputies that the man in the surveillance video is her son using his cellphone camera to shoot up the skirts of two young female shoppers.

After the video was broadcasted on the news, Jones' mother said her son hired an attorney.

Deputies also said when they searched Jones' home, they found the same clothing he was wearing in the Best Buy store.

"You know I'm still in shock," said Ishmael Avila, who lives next door to Jones with his three young daughters. Jones' home is also located near an elementary school.

Jones was also charged with multiple drug offenses on Monday night after deputies uncovered more than 20 marijuana plants in a shed in his backyard. His bond was raised to $24,200 for all charges at his first appearance on Tuesday.
