Deputies say they plan to increase patrols along International Drive following a recent rash of robberies.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

Expect to see extra patrols in the heart of the Orlando tourist district.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said it's upping law enforcement near International Drive to stop what seems to be a growing crime trend.

The most recent attack occurred Monday outside the Rosen Inn hotel at 6327 International Drive.

According to Orlando police, two men robbed two tourists after the visitors parked their rental car outside the hotel. The robbers are accused of getting away with a backpack filled with the passports, jewelry, money and an iPhone.

Deputies said they are stepping up patrols around the area beginning immediately.
