A 26-year-old woman who officials say was shot in the head by her husband at an Orlando home has died.

Emily Baquerizo died Monday, two days after being shot at 529 Pine Isle Drive, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Her husband, 21-year-old Eloy Montanez was arrested on attempted murder charges, which will likely be upgraded.  He was originally identified by authorities as Baquerizo's boyfriend.

Deputies said when they arrived at the house, they found Baquerizo with a gunshot wound to the head.  She was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with critical injuries and later died.

The Sheriff's Office said Montanez was located at the house and taken into custody.  He was later transported to the Orange County Jail.
