DUNNELLON, Fla. -

Deputies are searching for a missing 90-year-old Marion County man who may be traveling out of state to visit his girlfriend.

William Weber Koenig, of Dunnellon, was last seen on Wednesday, Marion County sheriff's deputies said.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office said Koenig suffers from early stages of dementia and is possibly driving to Georgia to visit his girlfriend, who suffers from Alzheimer's.

Deputies said they checked Koenig's home and found his checkbook and credit cards on a kitchen counter, but his car was missing.

Koenig's car was described as a white 2002 Chrysler Concorde with the Florida tag UFV0Z.

Anyone with information about Koenig's whereabouts is urged to call 911.
