Osceola County deputies are searching for a man who attacked and stabbed a woman in her driveway.

The attack occurred outside the woman's Poinciana home on Delido Way around 1 a.m. Friday.

The victim, who asked Local 6 not to reveal her identity, says she's been living in fear ever since.

She said the attack happened as she was getting into her car to drive to work. The 31-year-old mother works the overnight shift at an Osceola County store stocking shelves.

The woman said a man came out of nowhere and grabbed her around the waist.

"I was just fighting for my life," she said. "Everything happened so fast."

She said she pushed, screamed and threw rocks at the suspect until he ran off.

"I fought and fought and fought and I was able to get away. That's when I felt the cut, as soon as I got away," she told Local 6.

The woman had been cut right along her waist. Doctors said the suspect used a knife and the wound required eight stitches. Her arm and forehead also suffered scrapes during the attack.

The victim said she's now left worrying not only about who did this, but why.

"Obviously it wasn't to rob me because the door of my car was open, my purse was inside, it was more like he wanted to take me," she told Local 6.

The victim said she did not get a good look at the suspect because he was wearing a long, dark hooded sweatshirt, that was covering most of his face. She describes him as a dark skinned man, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. If you saw anything or have any information on this attack call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
