Disney says it never planned to get rid of the original version of its 11th princess, 'Merida,' which made headlines last week after parents criticized a thinner, sexier look.
Parents were outraged last week when the new look surfaced, even starting a Change.org petition that had more than 212,000 supporters signed the petition seeking to reverse the makeover.
But Disney representatives said the sexier version was created specifically for her introduction as a princess and is only to be used for a limited line of products based on her coronation.
Disney said they are keeping the original version of Merida for widespread use. If you look on Disney's website, the original Merida is still featured.
Brave earned $237 million in the United States and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
