Camping Out For Free Chick-fil-a
CASSELBERRY, Fla. -

Dozens of people pitched tents and spent Wednesday night camped out in Casselberry, hoping for a chance at free chicken.

Chick-fil-A opened a new restaurant Thursday morning on Oxford Road near the intersection of State Road 436 and U.S. 17-92 in Casselberry.

Just like similar openings, the restaurant is offering a free Chick-fil-A meal every week for a year to the first 100 people through the door.

Restaurant workers said more than 100 people showed up for the offer, so a raffle was held to determine who would get a spot. The lucky winners, though, have to spend 24 hours in line, even with temperatures dropping into the low 50s Thursday morning.

People in line came from as far away as Iowa and Illinois. A representative for Chick-fil-A says one couple in line is at their 104th grand opening campout.
